What are Chemical Peels?
To provide the highest quality results from chemical peel procedures, SkinLaB provides you with several options. Chemical peels may help improve skin texture, pores, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, acne, certain types of acne scars, melasma, and rosacea.
How Is A Chemical Peel Performed?
Light chemical peels are performed in the office in less than 20-30 minutes and are typically very tolerable. You may experience a mild tingling or mild burning sensation as the peel is applied. The solution sits on the skin for a short period of time before being neutralized and removed. Afterwards, you may experience mild redness and flaking for a few days, but most patients will return to their normal activities the next day. You should have the peel no sooner than 2 weeks before a big event to ensure plenty of recovery time.
A series of 3-4 sessions typically yields the best results, followed by 1 peel seasonally to maintain.
Price varies depending on the type of peel used, and may be anywhere from $115-$350 per session.
