What is Electrodesiccation?
Electrodesiccation (ED) is a nonsurgical procedure at SkinLaB in Cranberry Township, PA that removes benign skin growths on the face and body. A precise electric tip is used to gently remove unwanted growths such as seborrheic keratoses, skin tags, sebaceous gland hyperplasia (enlarged oil glands), and milia.
How Does Electrodesiccation Work?
Before starting the treatment, a topical numbing cream can be applied for increased comfort. After a brief wait while the numbing takes effect, we will then clean the skin and use the ED tip to gently remove the skin growths. The procedure takes about 10-20 minutes to perform depending on how many growths you have. You may have small red areas or scabs for 5-7 days which we encourage you to keep moist with petroleum jelly. The areas will heal without any residual marks or scars on the skin.
Price varies depending on the number of lesions being treated ($150 - $550 per session). Anywhere from 1-3 sessions may be required. Some patients require maintenance treatments every 6-12 months.

SkinLaB by Dr. LaBrasca Reviews
Beautiful facility and can't speak highly enough of Mistica who is thoughtful, tremendously skilled, knowledgeable, and has excellent bedside manner.
Mistica is FABULOUS! Professional and clearly loves what she does for a living! Thoroughly explained all treatments. She goes the extra mile for her patients.
Mistica and her team are first class! Honest, professional, intelligent, personable, and fun. Best in the business for sure!
Love SkinLaB and Mistica! Mistica did a great job with my Dysport! I had zero pain and it was the perfect amount. I also just got cheek filler, and under eye filler. I was pretty nervous about the pain, but she took every step possible to help it be pain-free, and I felt nothing! I love the final result. I wanted an overall natural look, but to just look refreshed. And she totally nailed it! The SkinLaB facility is absolutely beautiful and spotless. I love the modern decor, and it was so clean! The location is so ideal, located in Cranberry Township, in one of the busiest plazas. It is so easy to get to and great parking.
I have been going to Mistica for years now and she and her team are the only people that I trust to administer Dysport/Botox. When looking for someone to administer Botox, it is really important to me that they have extensive training and experience. Mistica is a well respected medical professional in the Pittsburgh area (any beyond!), and has always made me feel extremely comfortable. She also takes an interest in her patient's lives, which I really appreciate. I am thrilled that SkinLab is now open and can't wait to come back!
